Haiti - July 2021

Haiti orphange.jpg

The assassination of President Jovenel Moïse of Haiti has left an already fragile nation in a precarious situation. The uncertainty of things are especially felt among the most vulnerable of society: children.

Due to the current climate, orphanages have kept their doors closed in an effort to keep children and the adults who assist them safe. This means they are unable to sell the fruits, vegetables, crafts, and other items that they manage in the streets to make money for food, medication, and school supplies. All of the common ways to earn money are temporarily suspended. As a result, the orphanages are running short on finances and food and have reached out for assistance.

The purpose of this campaign is to raise at least $2000 that will be evenly distributed between the two orphanages I have previously assisted in 2019 and in 2020 in Port Au Prince. The intent is to provide financial support so that the children will have their nutritional needs met remaining safe inside the orphanages.
